Stone Massage

Hot stone massage uses smooth, heated basalt stones placed along key points of the body and used as an extension of the therapist's hands. The heat penetrates deeply into the muscle tissue, softening tension that would take far longer to reach with hands alone. The result is a profoundly relaxing experience that leaves the body feeling loose, warm and deeply at ease.

The weight and warmth of the stones also has a grounding, sedative effect on the nervous system, making stone massage particularly effective for those carrying high levels of stress or anxiety. I combine the stones with effleurage and petrissage techniques, ensuring the session addresses both surface and deeper tension.
